What are the splatter strats bringing these days?

I don't have the foggiest notion as to what they're bringing these days.

TIA

What is a 'splatter strat'? A pic would be good.

Ok I googled them. They are aluminum bodied Strats, with various paint jobs, described as 'splatter'. It is anodized color on the aluminum.

They are beautiful, but otherwise are collector's items, and rare. So expect increased speculation and prices.

I think we're talking about two different things. These are what I'm talking about, also referred to as splattercasters,..a limited run in 2003. There's one for sale locally, but I don't have a clue what they've been selling for.... but I don't think they are particularly pricey.

They're not the aluminum bodied Strats--they're the ones that look like "spin art." Made in Mexico something like 5-10 years ago--sold for something like $400 new. I don't know what they're worth now.

They're probably bringing out the paint remover for a refinish...

They are Fender MIM Stratocasters with paint splattering that's why they are expensive.

A "completed auction" search on ebay shows two splatter strats sold last month.

1. for $450 on a "best offer" sale
2. for $504 an a regular acution sale.

I'll probably just put mine on ebay.
