Xaviere mods and Fender Blackocasters!
Howdy. Finally got around to getting some pics of the progress i've been making on my Xaviere project. As well as a few pics of my Squier Series Strat which is just amazing. I've had a Carvin, Epi, '72 Thinline, and a few others but that thing just blows me away.
Well, onto the Xaviere. Here's a picture of my computer desk/workbench with some of the parts out. Replaced the Dream 180s with a GFS Vintage Split (neck) and a Crunch Pat in the bridge. Chrome hardware switched to black and added cream mounting rings. It's all just kind of sitting on there at the moment. Notice the F-hole camoflauged a lil and the body is a metal flake. ![]() ![]() Didn't like the kind of thick gloss coat on the neck so I steel wooled it down. Then I got an itch, so I taped it up and created some natural binding on the neck (a lil bit of flame there) and painted the headstock. Not done yet though, gonna try and match the metal flake on the body. Hopefully my idea will work. ![]() ![]() So far things are turning out pretty good. Hopefully i'll have her done and soldered up pretty soon. It's a great little guitar, didn't get to play it long before I started tearing it down though. |

Here's the Fender...erm, well...Squier. It's a 94' but it's a pretty clean (not literally) guitar, other than some wear on the edges of the fretboard. Even with character marks, it's the best neck i've felt so far. Picked her up on ebay for an okay deal. Got a few mods planned including a black pickguard.
![]() ![]() ![]() That does it for now. Take care! |

Seriously though, I really dig the binding you did to the Xaviere. Cool idea.
