My luthier refinished my '77 hardtail Strat blackburst. It's seethru black on top and back showing ash grain but solid black around the body. How do you like it?

The Ishibashi blackburst Fenders look beautiful... and yours must too, but it's difficult to see the see-thru on the pics. :?

My eyes are bloodburst from straining. Black on black or white on white: gotta be tough to capture on film.

Looks like a nice fin(n)ish though.

Ash is a good wood for heating a sauna!

It's difficult to capture that seethru even on a digital camera. It's not as light coloured as on that MIJ Strat. In fact you only see it in good lighting.

It's difficult to capture that seethru even on a digital camera. It's not as light coloured as on that MIJ Strat. In fact you only see it in good lighting.
