Noiseless PU wiring
Hi:
I just bought a set of FENDER noiseless pickups (099-2115-000). The wiring diagram shows the wire from the botton tone pot going to both terminals 2 and 3 on the selector switch. Is this normal? On all the diagrams I have, that pot only goes to terminal 3 with terminal 2 not connected to anything. Any ideas?

I put a set in a Strat assembly a couple months ago and it is wired as you describe. Same part # as yours. Sounds good to me.
Did you get the entire set with the two 1 meg pots (tone) and the 500K volume?

Hard to tell without a picture, but I assume this is so your lower tone control will work BOTH the middle and bridge pickups instead of just one of them, the upper tone control should be for the neck pickup. This way you can control the tone of all three pickups.

Hi
I got the complete set with the 500K and 1M pots, caps and resistors. One of the PU's was defective and I am waiting for the replacement. In the meantime I temporarily installed one that I had. Yes, mystery solved, the jumper enables the tone control for the bridge PU. Thanks guys.
