Strat Jack Problem Help!

So I got my CV Strat in March and love it but lately it started popping really bad. i thought it was the cable but I have a monster cable and it is fine. I noticed that the cable tip has a little bit of room to wiggle around in the jack. i don't know if I can fix it with some tools or if I have to buy a whole new jack. Need help.

I would just replace it with a Switchcraft jack.
That's what I did.

Why not just remove the Jack plate(2 screws) and bend the tip end in a little to tighten the grip.Check the grip with your cable to get the right tightness then put the jack plate back.Easy fix and if you dont like the results then replace it.

Same here, just bend the tip and you are back in business for many years.

Not really...the cheaply made jacks have crappy spring steel that won't hold a set...just get a $2.95 Switchcraft and enjoy your Guitar.

Yep instead of trying to bend the jack and see if it fixes the problem: order a new jack, get delivery,do the replacement with a Soldering iron that you may or not have and you will be ready to go?

Do I note a touch of sarcasm ?....didn't say it wasn't a Temporary fix...figured since he had invested in an overpriced Monster cable, he might want a permanent solution, so as not to have to concern himself with it again in the future...you know...fix it once the right way, and then move on to other things.Just seems like common sense to me ?
