That's his Alligator Strat given to him by Graham Nash, this must be in the early 70's.

Although I can't view the clip at work, it's most likely from 4/17/72, Tivoli Theater, Copenhagen. A great show!

Those were some good and magic years for sure - part of my favorite period of the dead.
I'm a huge fan of that line up plus Donna Godcheaux. Best concert years I ever saw was between 78 and 81 just before Keith and Donna left. Her singing along with Weir was perfect. A good example is the tune "the Music Never Stopped" they just worked together for me. Also it was the best Weir ever was to play. He himself was using an orange colored strat when I saw them 81 in Seattle at the Paramount Theater
