What the heck did I buy? (Bridge Question)

Just made an impulse ebay purchase of this Fender bridge for a strat build I got going on.

Now what the heck is it? Seller doesn't know.

Looks decent. Block is heavy, although hard to judge material from the pic.

Any insight?

From a MIM 50s or 60s classic maybe?

Classic 50s, eh?

Is the block steel or pressed zinc cheese?

Anyway, the price was right...

Well it is NOT:

1) A Highway One upgrade (PW-36);

2) An AV 57/62.

If it is a Classic 50's or 60's, and I would guess it is, then it is steel.

Hey, BB, thanks for input... the old process of elimination!

Item should be here in a day or two and I will update this thread with test results when I get it.

Last strat I put together used the Wilkinson Vintage, which I thought was very good for the low pricetag.

Only paid $30 shipped for the pictured bridge, which I think is a decent price if the block is solid.

If it's from a MIM Classic series, it will have a Cast Trem block, Not Steel like the AVRI series.

Unfortunately, it is hard to tell from pics which of these blocks are rolled steel and which are cast, because all have a flat, sandblasted finish on the outside surfaces.

We'll figure it out when it gets here.

Are the saddles heavily chromed or just nickel?
If theyre heavy chrome then it looks like the trem that came out of my Deluxe Powerhouse, the saddle height screws on mine were fully extended and still werent able to reach...dropped a JV trem in and those saddles screws are in the middle of their travel.

That block IS the same as my Deluxe...but its hard to tell bout the saddles from the pic.

Photos to Help

These are Photos from my Shop...in both cases the AVRI Steel Block version is on your left...the MIM Classic on your right...you can see the smaller Fender stamping on the saddles of the USA version.
