Is that sarcasm? You could check the neck pocket for more possible clues.

Dont the MIM bodies have either 1 round hole or 3 about the size of a nickel under the pickguard to line up the CNC machine that shapes the bodies?

Looks like it has had a 62RI pickguard on it during its life...(2 extra holes) that neck doesn't appear to be stock ?...w/ the abalone dots...could be anything really.

the neck is not the issue and not included, just the body....but thanx again 4 the eyes!

more info is;
from owner, "I took off the neck and there are "S" & "5" lightly stamped, that's all. The worm route is the same as pix of Fender japan strat bodies I looked at online. it is larger & straighter than vintage route. the body was drilled for 50s type 8 hole pickguard, but I mounted a 60s style 11 hole guard, so there are newer holes that of course do not show with guard mounted. However the screwhole nearest the middle tone knob is over the cavity route, so I just secured the back of the screw with a rubber washer so it looked good friom the top. The backside neck pocket screw holes are slightly beveled. "

THANX GUYS!!
