$2510.00 at Wildwood. Wow! A bit out of my zone. Beautifull guitars, though.

The maple neck is quartersawn too. They don't say if it's the graduated fretboard curve like the maple has or a straight 12" across.

The maple neck goes for around 1600-1700$ street, so 2100ish street for the RW is a head scratcher to me. I like the idea of a bound neck, but not at a 500$ or so premium...

I'll wait till they hit the used market on this one. I was kinda waiting to see when it would eventually come out. If it was the same pricing (+-10% or so) as the maple I would have jumped on it. 2000$ as a Strat price point has a lot of very interesting options (Custom Shop etc.)

Didn't know that, especially that there is a quartersawn neck CV model. Which one is that?

I wonder if they have a problem with tear-outs when milling up the QS necks?

Cool they (EJ Strats) were supposed to happen last year. I'm glad they are going to be coming out this year.

They look beautiful. Love all the colors, including the new red.

Any of ya'll want a shopworn GC 2007-8 Metallic Red EJ Strat for $ 999, there was still one on 12/30/2008 at the GC in Tucson. Not too bad; the body is kinda checked.

Looks cool but out of my price range right now, maybe a nice used one will come my way later this year?

The EJ's have been out for years, and when I talked to some dealers about selling mine "as long as it's not red" is what they said it should sell.

Martin...

If you read my post correctly I was referring to the Rosewood version. Which was what the topic was all about.
