Bridge question

I'm modding my old Squier so I can get some playability out of it.

Now, a question regarding the bridge and string spacing.

First, which bridge would be best? I really don't know which is best.

And would the string spacing of an American-bridge work with the nut already on my Squier neck?

By the way; I can use either American or MIM, MII, etc. spacing because the holes for the tremolo have not yet been drilled on the body (it's a new body).

Thanks for the input!

I don't know about the bridge, but my Fender Lead II mutt has an "import spaced" bridge and a Highway 1 neck. AFAIK I can't see anything wrong with it.
