Aluminum Body

Hey Guys, picked up an old Aluminum strat bod, fer 250$. I used all sorts of stuff I had laying around and now have a 2nd strat! I am thinking of painting it, wanna go with a clear color to make it look anodized, any body got any other cool idea's? I was think Prismatic Blue with ghost flames

The entire body done ala Gigliotti top burst would be massively cool IMO

AlumiSonic makes aluminum telecaster bodies with Moses Carbon Graphite necks. They have clear coated guitars as well.

Fender made a Harley Davidson Strat and some AL Tele:



IIRC the story goes Fender discontinued the guitar and the manufacturer of the aluminum body had a surplus which I think they just sold them as surplus. IIRC the same company who made the original body still produces those bodies.

Very cool and very interesting. I too would be interested in a sound sample.

Sounds like a Strat, I put some GFS mini buckers in thier to play slide with but it really is stratty. YOu would think it would have a darker hollow sound, but it doesn't. Clear and bell like.
