Squier by Fender Classic Vibe Stratocaster

There's quite an active thread in the Telecaster forum on the new Squier by Fender Classic Vibe Pine Telecaster that just came out.

I was wondering if anyone here has the new Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster 50's or 60's model and what they though of them?

I don't think anyone has them yet. I may get one next week.

Thinking about picking one up myself. I'm sortta torn between the '50s & the '60s. Basically...Maple or Rosewood. Those necks sure look sweet, though...

I put one on layaway on Friday. tested it out alongside a MIM '50's and a couple other 50's style Fenders. I thought it compared favorably to them all, besting the 50's classic in some areas, though I do wish the CV had a v-shaped neck, but the modern C is better than I thought it would be.

I'll see what it's really like with some 11s on it, and going through my amps. I'll post a review when I take it home.
