My new amp (soon)

I just went to GC today and put a Blues Jr. on layaway. i've been waiting so long to get a nice tube amp, and have been going up there at least once a week playing their display model, and today i finally jumped. i should have it by the end of the month.

i've only ever owned transistor amps (cuz normally i'm cheap lol), and they've never cut it for me. i'm going to be pairing it up with a MIM '04 Standard HSS, and the one i played at GC sounded great on this amp. i've also got a Boss BD-2, a Crybaby, and a Boss Metal Core (gotta rock out sometimes lol)

i can't wait to bring it home

I love the Blues Jr. If GC had budged on the price, at least cut me the tax, I would've walked out of there with one. It's still on my radar, just not from GC. Great little amp. Congrats!

yeah after this i think i'm gonna get me an Am. Std. or a Deluxe Player's. if i get the deluxe player's, i'll most likely swap out the noiseless pups for Texas Specials, those noiseless pups just sounded weak to me. but i love the S-1 switching

Ahh, the Independence GC. I haven't been able to get them to make sensible deals, but the GC in OP is willing to. Indep has or had a sunburst ES-335 with the laminate separating on the back. In the spirit of "that will have to be repaired," I offered them $350 less than they had it marked (I was there to buy a 335) and they wouldn't do it. I went to the OP store the next day and bought a fresh one for $500 less than the marked price. I still go in there, but my in-store time has been five minutes or less for the last three months. Part of that is them not having anything I want, and part of it is me not really wanting anything.

Enjoy that new amp!

Congrats. Nice little amp. One of the few Fenders that trip my trigger.

I finally brought it home! It looks so sweet. I didn't realize it had 5 tubes back there! It's so nice to be able to turn my amp around and finally see tubes instead of transistors, lol!

BUT...

My guitar's at the shop getting a good setup. I won't get it back till Monday or Tuesday. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, though!
