New strat followed me home yesterday
A American Vintage Hot Rod 62 in oly white:
![]() I always said that if Fender started making guitars with vintage hardware, but a bigger neck with flatter board, I'd own one. Had I owned this guitar 10 years ago, I might never have picked up a tele. :) This one was in Corner Music in Nashville. Those guys were fantastic. I didn't expect to buy a guitar, and certainly not one this pricey, but I think it was worth it. Played it up against a few of the MIM Classics and liked the feel and sound of this one much better. The only thing I wasn't totally thrilled with was the pure white trem cover, but I happened to have a green one laying around. :) |

That's sweet. I like the rich rosewood on that. It's how they ought to make all of them. I had the same model and my fingers would turn black from dye on the fingerboard. Most of the Fenders come this way unfortunately. You scored!

This actually replaces a CS strat I had. It was an artist guitar with a "Cray" neck and relic body. Truth be told I'm digging this one MUCH more. I've owned a couple of CS guitars and while the wood may not be as primo on this one, it's certainly put together as well.
