Real Fender body?

Can any of you tell me if this is a real Fender body? I thought it was all original but maybe I'm wrong.

Well, in comparison to this it looks similar.

Granted, this is a 62 Hot Rod, but MIA stuff has those stickers and bar codes.

At the very least it may have been refinished. The neck pocket has been painted.

It does have the original odd pickguard hole up above the middle pup, like 62ri and 60s Classics have...have you tested w/ Acetone to see if it's Lacquer ?

No I haven't. I've since put it back together but I try it next time. It's definitely a two piece body and the neck is dated 11/85 in pencil.

During most of 1985 the Fender Vinrtage reissues were made in Japan as the Fender Corona Factory wasnt done till early 1986.

Thse 85's are rare and fetch big $$ when all original.
