'57 Strat?
Looks like Fender painted this one after assembly.
Look at the body/neck joint - or is it my monitor and bad eyes? |

Shouldn't this be worth quite a lot if it is the real thing? Those pups and the neck look very very new...........let's see how much it gets! I am always hesitant when I see substandard pics for a real vintage instrument. Take a look at Vintage dealers and they have very detailed pics from every angle.

The date on the butt end of the neck is written way to clean to be from a Fender employee. These guys had those necks coming down an assembly line maybe spent 1-2 seconds tops writing the dates this looks way too perfect and new of a date to be real.
If it was a real 57 and the seller knew it wouldnt they have started the auction at a much higher price? Just use good common sense. Someone who bought it probably paid $5000 for a $750-800 57ri Strat.
