Anybody used this Trem?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEBI:IT&ih=006
This is a wilkinson "5+1" Trem that looks a lot like a beefy PRS tremelo. Has anyone ever used this bridge? |

I know the string spacing but could it be mounted on a mexican body without any drilling because of the wide holes in the plate. Basically could you use it to convert a mexican body to american string spacing without modifying the body.

Well I installed this trem in my Samick Saraceno. It is definately worth the effort. It dropped right in, no muss, no fuss. The steel trem block and stainless saddles greatly enhanced the response and tone of the high strings.
For the Ebay price it was well worth it. |

I bought the vintage version of the Wilkinson 5+1 bridge for a MIM strat. I haven't installed it yet because I need to dowel and drill the outer holes. The spacing is just about 1/16"+ too narrow to attach it as is (unless I was willing to do without the outer screws).
