How many U using Wah Pedals?

What seems to be your choice for Wah pedals?
I just bought a Wilson Drop in kit and it has a serious sweep that I never heard before!
I have been using modified Thomas pedals lately but I think this baby is sounding nice.

I've used the Vox Clyde McCoy for the last two years and love it. Really focused sound. My friend bought the really expensive fulltone one......good. but the crybaby from hell surprisingly sounded better and was very versatile. I used the crybaby w/fasel for a year, good in its own right.

I have an Ibanez Weeping Demon. Takes a bit to really find the sweet spot, but when you do, they sound fantastic. I had a Cry Baby before that.

I also just got a Korg AX5G for $39.00 and I have to say the Wah sound REALLY, REALLY good. I bought it because it was cheap, but this thing is just amazing.

I'm "just" using an "ordinary old" Crybaby original.

No true-bypass, nothing fancy.

If the guitar is already distorted, why should I care about high end loss :)

My Crybaby is one of the few pieces of gear I've kept and used for this long and it'll be with me until it breaks down and croaks... perhaps my '94 Tele is the only other piece of gear to have stuck around so long and avoid being sold.

I use a modded cry baby 95.
True-bypass, other fasel, status led, switchable frequency, vol/wah switch.

Original Crybaby modded for true-bypass, but I hardly use it, maybe the odd kick at "Voodoo Chile", one of those songs I can't begin to pull off but attempt from time to time....

Whether I can hear it or not, the very thought of signal loss had me worried I may sound worse than I know I do...so I modded it.

Boss PW10 V-Wah - the noise free infrared pedal detection appealed to me. I really like the preset Uni-V effect as well as the various wah sounds. Overdrive and distortion are also built in; as well 3 digital memories, but as they're fiddly to preset - this user leaves well alone...

Morley Bad Horsie (original). Nothing to fiddle with but I like how it sounds. It's just a pedal, no knobs or buttons.

Teese RMC 3 for me.

I think they're blue nowadays though. Gratuitous picture I know, and it looks like, well, a wah pedal, but there we are.

i've got a vox 847 and a crybaby. right now the crybaby gets the most use as it has a DC input. neither gets used that much. just a little now and then.

old Cry Baby, older Vox and my favorite: an early 70's Foxx with the 4-position knob for getting different tones.. it's also a volume pedal, which is handy.

too bad I'm the only guy in my band who seems to like 'em.

Was not a big wah or Pearl Jam fan, but loved the solo on Evenflow enough to go buy a CryBaby in the 90's and still enjoy messing around with it. Now days more for Cream/Clapton stuff. I also like the way it was used on Rage Against the Machines Bulls on Parade.

I have a Vox wah and it is now sounding more like a vox volume pedal. The up position is slightly lower than the amp volume and the the down position sounds like its 10 times the volume. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I have one of the first years of the reissue vox ('93/94) which I really like. I put a icar pot and a true-bypass in it and it sounds great. Looks pretty cool as well.

Modded Cry Baby that I just can't use cause it sounds bad... the truth is I'm really bad with the wha.

Though, I love the wha on my GT-6!

I use an Ibanez Weeping Demon wah. It's got a lot of controls to dial in the sound. The best part is that it uses a switchless design that is off when the pedal is completely up (it's also spring-loaded), and then when you press it down a bit, it kicks in (you can set how long it needs to be all the way up before the wah turns off to make it harder to accidentally turn it off).

I think that's the way wahs should work - kicking on at the bass part of the sweep, rather than the treble. No more having to stop playing when I turn my wah on/off to avoid letting out a burst of treble. No more having to worry about whether I pressed the switch hard enough.

Morley makes a few wah pedals with a similar switchless design, but the Ibanez has more controls and costs less.

I have a RMC-1. Love it. Hardly use it though in a band setting. I think there was 1 song in our set list that called for one and it was at the end of a song. Still... I will be keeping it for when those 60's psychedelia memories--or lack of--hit me.

I used to have a Dunlop "Original" crybaby wah but it died on me so I'm using the "Classic" crybaby...

(me is on the lookout for an "Original" crybaby wah, though!)

Fulletone Clyde Deluxe here - very responsive, lots of tonal options.

I also use a Nova Wah for timbre changes. Two fixed wah selectable-positions. Very neat.

Plain old Crybaby. No fasel or anything. I"ve been getting a lot better with it (playing and tone-wise) lately, so I'm gonna hold off from any mods/changes for a while.
