Boss NS2... any opinions?
Have the oppertunity to p/u an NS2 for $50 (CL). Does this NS "kill" your sound, or change your dynamics? I seem to read mixed reviews. Looks like a good multi-feature pedal what with the FX loop & the ability to power other pedals (both of these I think I would use). This could be the selling point for me. Just started playing my tele with a VERY LOUD drummer and am trying to cut the noise, but I dont want to lose any Fulltone mojo in the process. Also dont want to waste $ (cant exactly return CL items for refund), so I wanna know all I can before I buy. Any opinions

I have 2 of them, and I think they are very good pedals. I use one in my "metal" pedal setup last and it works well in the high volume and gain situations without doing anything to my sound. I use my second in my home rig setup (where I mainly play Teles) and I actually have it first in the chain to take out some ofthe single coil hum, and it does not alter the sound as far as I can tell in any way. It is a very useful pedal, I bought one, then a few months later bought another because I find them to be very useful.

I used mine in a parallel FX loop for my bass rig. Worked very nicely to tame a 77 Big Muff pi, tightened things right up. I like it so much, it's velcroed into my rack unit & will be used on any distortion I run, be it rackmounted or another velcro special like my Ibanez FC-10 Fatcat.

The NS-2 is a pedal that definitely does what it's supposed to. I run all of my pedals through it when playing with our band - at live band volumes, there is a lot of hiss coming out of the amp from the pedal chain, and the NS-2 just eliminates all of that.

I love mine. Very useful pedal for eliminating noise - it can also act as a mute switch depending on what mode you have it in. Basically, plug your guitar in the input, run all of your effects in the loop and take a cable from the "out" into your amp. I'd say if you've have noise issues, get it. It just takes away the noise and nothing else (to my ears anyway).
