David Gilmore solo dvd whats he using when.....

he doing an acoustic version of shine on

he will strum for example a Gmin then he presses down on what looks like a volume pedel , the chord swells and sustains while he plays melodies.

U mean the volume pedal?

That's all he's doing, I believe...has a volume pedal to lay down the chord or whatever he's decided his solo will be over. Pretty simple.

He's using a volume pedal fed into a delay set for infinite repeats. I used to do that with a Digitech RP-10- I'm sure there are a lot of devices on the market now that will do that.
