The Zvex Johnny Octave is a pretty cool pedal.

Yeah, the Zvex pedals are great - cost too much though

it depends how you want it - i like the Digitech Whammy because when I use the octaves, I use the tredle for pitchshifting (RATM, Muse style)

But from what ive seen the johhny octave looks pretty good if you want it to simply change your guitar up a couple of octaves - and it doesn't sound as digital as the whammy

Fulltone Ultimate Octave
Has a killer distortion/overdrive built-in also.

Well I have a friend who just bought an EHX POG and they seem to love it. They have one of the Digitech Whammy's too, but the POG tracks far better then the Whammy can.

I myself am looking to pick up an EHX Micro Synth which can also do octave up's and downs on it.

Boss sounded great in the store. I have an old one that occasionally craps out on me... might be time for a new one...
