Any Bad Cat or Dirt Box pedal users?

Hi, Any one using a Bad Cat or the Matchless dual OD pedals? Any opinions? Thinking about one for my Dual pro, Deluxe reverb setup. Thanks very much!!!

Hot Box

I gotta Matchless Hot Box that I don't use (cuz I gotta matchless Lightning combo that gets me what I need).

The hot box seemed to have the hard rock (Chieftain) matchless flavor. I downtubed the 12AX7s to 12AU7s and it helped, the OD is less shred and more creamy now. But I still don't like it. It sounds much different than the OD I'm getting out of the 15watt Lightning (it has 12AX7 preamp tubes) and I AM driving the pre-amp section vs. the EL84 output section.

It plugs into the wall and has a built in transformer. It adds some background noise. I've heard that modifying the unit to have the transformer in a separate box helps with that issue...but I'm not going to go to the trouble of doing that.

I always wanted to try a Dirt Box as I thought it may have a preferable OD sound. Can you tell of any diff.s between the Hot and Dirt, that you know of?

I think the concensus is that there are better OD boxes than the Matchless and Bad Cat boxes.
I'll probably sell mine...they still seem to command a high re-sale value.

I've a Keeley Katana clean boost (has a FAT switch too) that I like.
Another I want to try is a Klon Centaur.
