Compressor
So I think I need a compressor for my strat..Inexpensive ($125 at most)
small box. Want a warm feel, I found the Boss too sterile and too many functions for me.I like the MXR, and DOD (old). What about the Tonepress? Or Keely's compressor? Any suggestions? Old or new... Thanks mojohen

Check out the Marshall "Edward The Compressor" - very warm sound, not noisy, very versatile (lots of different options), construction looks very solid (have only had it for a couple of months yet... but the case is really heavy-duty), price is rather low, too.
I compared it to the MXR, Line6 Constrictor (worst compressor on this planet), DOD and Digitech in the same price-range, and preferred it by far! The MXR is also nice, but basically only has one sound, where the Marshall Ed offers lots of options, the DOD and Digitech are also nice, but don't sound as warm as the Marshall. |
