Any Expandora Love ????
Yesterday me and my youngin were hanging out at our local music store. He went to purchase a cable and I looked into one of the cases and there set an original Bixonc Expandora, with a 60$ price tag. I asked if i could play it, man it was awesome. It doesn't hurt that The Rev. Willie G. plays through a bunch of them. So on the way home I proceeded to lay the heavy hint on the youngin to tell his Momma about a certain gift for Christmas. It was a lil worse for wear, sounded fine though, and at 60$s it would be well worth it. So anybody have one, or opinions on it?

I have never been able to get my hands on one. Though I did hear buddy guy's rhythm guitarist use one at the House of Blues one time. Had a pretty insane setting on it I believe, cause he produced a pretty feedback induced solo.

I am madly in love with mine ... it is a bit of a one-trick-poney ... but it is a awesome trick.
I use mine on the "forbidden" setting which is very sputtery & out of control. BTW - I doubt Mr. Gibbons uses more than two at a time because they are a bit noizy. In fact I think he only uses one ... the rest is for show.

I have one and love it...It's not really a one trick pony but since the dip switches are under the hood it's not really easy to change to a different trick and it can't be done on the fly. I think it's a great pedal, soudns great, well made, and really small which is nice!

Wow, 'glad to see there's some luv out there for the Expandora. I think I've had mine since they first came out...... maybe even before I heard that the Most Reverend Billy was using them. It's been my number one distortion device for years and years. I don't find them particularly one dimensional. They have a great way of blooming harmonics and sustain on demand.... I feel I can really "play" it's characteristics, so I find it pretty expressive.
I use the higher distortion setting, but not the "forbidden" setting.
