carl martin red repeat?

anyone use this? I have a dan echo I sue for slapback only & like it but its really starting to go downhill, jacks are getting very noisy & from what I read here that's what always happens with dan echos.

The thing I like about it is the "hi cut" (tone) knob. I see the carl martin red repeat has a tone knob too & its not too expensive, compared to some delay pedals. I don't really want to spend the big bucks on analog & only use it for slapback- 1 repeat, short delay time.

any opinions on the red repeat?

If you use it only for slapback, I bet the Red Repeat would serve you well, and I've read good thing about it. Also, the SIB Mr Echo is supposed to be nice...not sure if it has a tone knob, but it's supposed to be designed to sound like an analog delay...

I like my Red Repeat quite a bit. Don't try to power it with the OneSpot though or else the repeats sound distorted. Use a Boss PSA-120 power adapter and the delay will sound great.
