Tuner Location?

Hi all,
I have been reading the boards for quite some time and this is my first post, and I've got a question. I just bought a "Bad Monkey" (thanks to the rave reviews on this board) and added it to my current chain which looked like this: Fender PT-100 tuner > BOSS DS-1 > MXR Phase 90 > BOSS DD-3. I put the "Bad Monkey" between the PT-100 and the DS-1. Thinking along the lines of "more pedals = more noise" I thought since the "Bad Monkey" has a second output (designed for mixers) that I could connect the tuner to that output effectively removing a pedal from my chain. Granted it's a POS Fender tuner (I didn't believe a tuner could possible suck that much. ) but will I be making the tuner more inaccurate (hard to believe that's possible), or would there be any other adverse effects to my setup?

Thanks

I wouldn't rely on the tuner to be accurate when the Bad Monkey was switched on, as it could be overloading the tuner's input. If the Monkey is off, there shouldn't be a problem.

I've done something similar with the second output on my DigiDelay. Works fine.

It should work fine, but I'm not sure you are effectively removing a pedal from your chain. Check this article for details.

Your tuner should be first....or after only a noise supressor or something else that has a mute function you don't want to tune with any kind of effect on your notes..you want a clean signal going to your tuner, and if you can...mute your amp...like using a volume pedal...or the NS-1 has a mute function....

Granted I don't use many effects, but for years I've used an A/B box with one output dedicated to my tuner and the other to whatever effects were there at the time with good results. Usually everything (including the A/B box) except maybe a boost or OD is in the effects loop, but experimentation with your own gear is the best way to find out what goes where.
