Actually there was this youtube clip up a couple of days ago that featured this guy with a vintage 1957 or so tape looper.. I tried to match the settings on the Toy to sound quite the same and now it sounds.. quite the same :)
It doesn't simply copy the original sound, the copy sounds a bit degraded, i like that. I never compared it to the MXR Carbon Copy, though. (except for the price, i did compare that..) All in all I'm very happy with it. Note that if you want to use the modulation feature on it you'll probably need to open it up and fiddle around with the correct trim pot as it appears the stock setting is wrong for most people. |

Nice boxes! How're you getting along with the Durham CH? (coz I want one.)

I just redid mine.
![]() Boss Noise Suppressor --> Boss Tuner --> Boss Compressor --> Bad Monkey --> Blues Driver --> Turbo Rat --> (outside the noise suppressor loop) --> Boss DD-7 Delay --> Hardwire Reverb The amp is an Orange Tiny Terror. The pedal board is a homemade two-tier job. |

Heh, busted! The bbod cost me $170, and I couldn't pass the opportunity to test it for that price. I'm also waiting on a screwdriver - now I wish I'd ordered it in some shade of blue too!

Newest incarnation of the "big" board (which is now smaller)
![]() The small "board" is pretty darned neat and clean and has stood up just fine against many boutique grails

@hannigan: Thanks as well. I'm quite pleased with everything on the board. But that doesn't stop me from GASsing for more. I'd like to pick up a Turbo Tuner to replace the Pitchblack, and I've got a custom $uperpuma fuzz on the way. Stay tuned. |

And here it is, for this week at least.
Nothing fancy I guess, except may be the tube king compressor which is not so common. I left on the side my TS 9 mod, TS 808 (prefer the TO800...), POG, jamman, boss volume pedal, crybaby, big muff, doctor Q, boss acoustic simulator, artec analog delay ADL2 (this one might come back soon), digitech hardwire distorsion, DOD fuzz. TL52 RI Japan Dimarzio col > Boss tuner > Tube King compressor > Behringer Overdrive TO800 > Behringer equalizer EQ700 > Ibanez TS9 DX > Rat mod> Boss DD3 > Behringer phaser > Laney LV200. This is definitely a live setting as the TK compressor and EQ700 create some noticeable noise. Tube king coupled with or without the rat for rhythm guitar (really nasty sound with it); TO800 is here for a slight overdrive/boost; EQ700 for boost also; TS9DX is the main lead distortion; DD3 for some lead riffs; only use the phaser for a few notes. The minimum survival kit for me would be TK compressor > Behringer overdrive > Rat > DD3. Did not put a volume pedal so far as I have already a boost on the compressor, the equalizer, and the behringer overdrive to boost volume if necessary. But it might change. How exactly do you mount them to the plex?

I just tap two opposing corners for a #6-32 and use a machine screw. It seems that all the pedals use some form of #6 sheet metal screw anyway. The drill just barely cleans up the hole and the tapping is very easy.
Edit: I used tabs on the VooDoo Lab unit because the clearance inside the box was very close to the circuit board. Stomp boxes usually have nothing to worry about in the corners. |

Nice - very clean looking and helps protect the cabling.

Changed things up AGAIN. Traded in the DD7 and the FS5U footswitch for the DD20. Just got it and havn't used it TOO much yet but it's pretty amazing!
I'm still pumped about the simplicity of my board! |

Small update, same pedals but different connectors and added velcro (and added some extra nails for rigidity). Still the same piece of terrace floor wood, though. With black nitrocellulose laquer, of course.
