I have to admit, though, that Dave and I do pretty much share the same (and apparently strange) affinity for BOSS pedals, don't we? Joel

Well, judging by his descriptions of why each pedal is on the board, and exactly what it's used for, I'd say quite a bit of research went into his board. And maybe Boss is the perfect pedal for him. You know what irritates me? the fact that you simple dismiss it as "irritating" rather ask him how/why he decided to build a board like that. |

Here's my latest creation. It's my living room pedalboard although it seems to work for most of what I do. The Carbon Copy and the Super Chorus are essentials. The SD-1 is setup for a fairly stout O/D sound and the Deluxe Reverb pedal is for times I want just a bit of edge on my sound.

I'm long time lurker on this forum, some great pedalboards can be found here...
i find tdpri pedalboard thread so great because I assume most of that pedalboards are made for rootsy music... vintage analog machines built for playing quality music.. i like that here is my homemade board... made from croatian beech wood and 3m dual lock tape... ![]() that pedal in the middle is clone of v4 OCD, with several adjustments... pedals get along great with each other... i don't need anything much better soundwise, but g.a.s. is severe disease i just have to find some case for it...

I can't say enough about the Carbon Copy. It's definitely worth a listen and the price is right.

Just got a new pedal... I recently had a Gator and I had a chance to grab this on sale...
![]() ![]() Basically it's a split board... Nu/speed-Metal, shred, hardcore up top and classic rock 'Floyd' / 'Sabbath' and old school blues (maybe no pedal depending on the amp) down below. I have a couple of loop-masters a/b to tie 'em together... ![]()

So I'll practice at home with an Orange AD5 (5 watt tube is also loud) and use the distortion for some lower volumes... I'm old now, so I love the feel and tone without the volume of my youth - at least for home practice. The ML2 and NS2 may come off for a Keeley or Analogman OD and a Mad Professor Snow White Auto Wah would fit up top... pedals are so much easier to sneak in the house than guitars . |

Here's Mine
Here's my board. Nothing too exciting, but it gets the job done.
![]() Bad Horsie > Old TS9 > Route66 > EQ > Ice Box > Reel Echo > BBE My band plays a wide range of covers, so lately I've been using this: ![]() It sounds pretty darn good and it saves a lot of fiddling between songs. |

Just completed a smaller board for my second band project - didn't want to use my "big" board - this one:
- that I use with my rockabilly/country/roots rock cover-band with my new alt.country/Americana/singer-songwriter duo, as I don't need most of the stuff on the big one for this kind of music (also, we usually play really small cafes and bars with tiny stages, so a board as small as possible is a real plus...Here it is: ![]() ![]() Korg Pitchblack tuner, homemade overdrive ( a Nobels ODR-1 clone, and a heavily modded AMZ mini booster), George Dennis volume pedal; the blue box in the top right corner is the switch for my Princeton Reverb-clone's tremolo and reverb (there are LEDs inside the translucent blue plastic case to show the state of the switches), as well as a "power distributor" for supplying the other pedals with 9V from a single wall-wart power supply. |

Hi Kestrel!
I saw that you use a Holy Stain in your pedalboard. Is it good? I heard all the youtube clips and I like the clean tones but I haven't got a chance to try it out. Right now I'm using a Roland MicroCube but I only use the tremolo and the reverb from the effect section. I'm planning on replacing the MC with a Champion 600 and buy a Holy Stain to have the tremolo and the reverb (and the drive section, just for toying :) )... So, I'm interested in your opinion! Thanks! |
