Reflections on the Zvex SuperDuper
So, I got a deal from my local music store friend(still sniffing around that MIM 60's Tele), and went ahead and bought the Zvex Super Duper 2 in 1.
I've had it for a bit over a month now, and by and large, I'd have to say that I dig it. Some nights it's the perfect pedal. Some nights it's too much and everything breaks up way too soon. I'm still trying to find the right order for it. Keeping my Comp in front seems to work best for now. Anyone else had any experience with this pedal? Thoughts? |

My guess...
In my review of the pedals before, there's two uses....brighten things up...and overdrive. I'd set 1/2 of the SuperDuper so that it's for brightening. In other words, the volume should not change much as the pedal is engaged. Then that side is just left on all the time. Set the other 1/2 as overdrive as necessary.
(just the way I'd use it...that doesn't mean there's any hard/fast rules)

Yeah, I leave the yellow side on all the time. It gooses the amp only the slightest bit. I don't really use the master volume section for overdrive. More clean boost that does eventually lead to overdrive, but dependent on my pick attack.
