NPD Visual Sound 808 and Open Road

So I'm expecting a VS Route 808 and a VS Open Road pedal to show up in the mail this week. I'm very excited to try them out - especially stacked.

I also have their CleanBoost pedal (which I won from them in a Facebook contest) and it was exactly what I expect out of a boost. It doesn't add any different "colors" to my tone - just boosts it.

Anyone else a big fan of VS in general?

EDIT: Shameless Plug - My TS9 is for sale in the classifieds...

I'm a fan, but have yet to actually own any of the products other than the 1spot. I used the v2 J&H and original H2O on one occasion. Nice. A little envious of you right now my friend. I love their online demos and artist interviews and "how I use it" videos. Major kudos to Bob Weil and crew for some great products and awesome Youtube channel!

Yeah I feel blessed. My family gave me some spending cash for my most recent birthday. They quit trying to actually buy me guitar stuff because my GAS is always evolving plus I'd much rather shop forums, ebay, and Craigslist over retailers.

I agree, they have a great YouTube channel. I'm a graphic designer/videographer and I'd love to work for them someday especially considering its my wife and I's dream to move to Nashville.

Your gas is evolving? Might I suggest a dietary change?

Yup. I've got the Open Road, Route 808 and Liquid Chorus. The Route 808 and Open Road cover so much ground, and stack SOOO nicely together. Enjoy!

I've had the Open Road and Route 808 (Jekyll & Hyde). I really liked the way the Open Road road sounded with my Tele bridge pup. Good thick & crunchy. It does roll off some highs though. Because of this I did not like it at all with my neck pup. Sold it.
As for the Route 808...probably my favorite TS pedal yet. I sold the Jekyll & Hyde because of space and I didn't use the Hyde.
Think the Double Trouble would be great!

+1 That combination sounds so much better than a Double Trouble; like a RAT+TS808, or OCD+FD2 combinations.

Received the Open Road today. First impression - love it. It does get a little bassy but I was still able to dial in killer OD with my Strat and Welch LP. This is the classic rock sound I've always wanted but could never achieve at low volumes.

The 808 should arrive tomorrow. Can't wait to pair em up

Yeah, you could say that:

Have fun with the new pedals! And if you keep them, don't forget to register them for the lifetime warranty.

Wow! Nice board! I'd love to get their single tap delay pedal someday

I said I was a little jealous of the OP, but hubba-hubba! there's drooling and panting afoot right now!
