Fuzz Face circuit with a small footprint?

I'm looking for recommendations for a FF that doesn't take up much space. The MXR classic is even a bit bigger than I was hoping. Anyone?

Monsterpiece junior fuzzes... he has a few different versions in small boxes. Haven't tried them, but hear good things.

Also earthquaker devices dream crusher is a germanium version.
Seems pretty great....

Also, byoc esv fuzz, you can build one or buy em pre built.

Fulltone 69 and 70 fuzz. I didn't care for either but lotsa people use em. Same w mjm london fuzz I and II

Keeley fuzzhead is sort of a fuzz face I'm told.

Can you tell I've been shopping for the same thing? I think I may go mxr, its not that much bigger, and seems to cover a lot of fuzz face ground, pretty cheap used. Don't love that you have to take the whole thing apart to adjust bias.....

I have the Earthquaker Dream Crusher. It has a fairly small footprint. So does the Catalinbread Merkin, which was my #1 choice before I found a used DC.

The big thing about the MXR is that it has the buffer which means it can be used with a wah pedal without shrieking.

All good choices so far. I guess I should mention that I am thinking about pedals in that sub-175 area. So please leave out wicked expensive boutique jobs. Thanks!

The BYOC kit goes assembled for $135 in one BIN listing I see. There was a listing on the Philly craigslist 8/4/12 selling a germ BYOC for substantially less (don't know where in Twangsylvania you're located)

Probably won't find a FF smaller than the Mooer Blue Faze. $88 but can be had cheaper if you hunt.

I think I may end up w an eqd dirt transmitter.... it seems to do a wider range of stuff (but not too wacky like a fuzz factory) and will also get into standard fuzz face territory with the bias rolled up. Seems a bit brighter as well, and having a tone knob is nice. I think i'd like to buy this, and build a traditional ff, given how simple they are!

Aaron SS of ARC Effects built my Si Fuzz Face clone. It's the same size as one of the smaller MXR cases. I don't remember exactly what I payed but it's a top quality build and was under $100.

I've been thinking about this, I have sent a few e-mails out to Swaptronics (in Oregon), and they make an Si Fuzz Face w/ TB, 9 Volt jack, and LED in an unmarked MXR-size box for around $70. I'm interested !

I've had his fuzz face clone - great pedal. Just not into fuzz. His newer versions seem to be even better, insulating the signal from radio frequencies and other noise issues.

Fuzz factory, skreddy lunar module, subdecay flying tomato. All of the above aren't direct clones but can get the same sounds.

Just curious to try a decent affordable Si fuzz face type- as I never have done that...tried a Big Muff years ago (just not my sound) and a few other cheap, bad sounding fuzzes- but every time I hear a Si FF (or clone) on a song, or a demo, I feel that is a sound I could use or at least explore.

The Swaptronics seems to have the proper components (just from what I have read) that are needed to be a real Si FF, and it is cheap- I feel like going for a gamble

+1. He builds a great FF in a MXR size box. I think I paid $70 for a germanium unit a couple of years ago. Glad to hear he's still around.
