T-Rex Room-Mate II .... vs my old Fender RI Reverb Unit

Ok folks, I’ve been happy as heck with my Fender ’63 RI Tube Reverb Unit (with Vintage tube package) but it has a slight tone loss when I kick it on so I use a Keeley true bypass looper to get it out of the chain . Well, I’ve had my eye on a T-Rex Room-Mate II and bite the bullet and bought one (got it today). I’ve never really messed with the Fender Reverb unit (been on the same setting since day one) and always have a great sound except for the little tone loss but I’ve spent hours messing with this T-Rex and just can’t get the same sound or anything that I like. I thought I’d be selling the Fender after getting the T-Rex after reading all about it???? I go back to the Fender unit and I actually think the slight tone loss is a good thing now (adds warmth to my sound) …. Any thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong because if I only had the T-Rex and nothing to compare I really think I would love it.
