Info about a pedal

Hi,
I have recently started playing again after about a 10 year hiatus... Got a new MIM tele and have been loving it...
It is really amazing how 10 years have come and gone...
My wife is interested in learning guitar and I have been having a great time teaching her and learning new stuff along the way...
I have a Champ 12 that is about the same 10 year old vintage and the gain channel isn't great... I seemed to remember I had bought a pedal years ago to work on this...
Since I had been playing with friends I guess I must have just cranked the amp up and just let the amp overdrive itself...
Since I am now playing in my one Bedroom apt and I can't really crank it.. I dug the old thing out...
It is a Tube Works Tube Driver.. I plugged it in and was pretty happy with what I got... it is a nice sound...
Thing is I don't remeber very much about this pedal or comany... I looked online and the comapny, Butler, seems to still be in business but no sign of pedals...
I looked on Ebay and was floored at what people are asking for this pedal... Mine must be a bit older as it only has one eq adjustment and the serial number is hand etched on the back...
Can anyone fill me in on this thing?

Thanks!

---> Jim
