Need a replacent for my eq pedal.

I have a Dan electro fish and chips that I love, but the jacks and switch are becoming a bit unreliable. I'm looking for suggestions on eq pedals that would be comparable to the fish and chips. I do have a stock ge7, but it's a bit noisy and lifeless. The fish and chips is quiet and instantly adds life to my amp. I simply need a sturdy and robust version of the fish and chips. Can I get some suggestions? Preferably someone who has used the fish and chips. Thanks.

Another Fish and Chips?

I'm only partly kidding. I've read so many reviews of Dano pedals that say, "at that price, I can get two in case the first one breaks down"...

+1 I would get a second 1 and try to hotwire the first 1 inside of a true bypass pedal

A graphic EQ would be pretty hard to re-house (all the tiny little sliders). You could buy/build a simple true-bypass loop pedal, so you won't be stomping on the F&C.

take the GE-7 and do the sniper mod, or send it to Analog Mike.
Quieter and livelier.
