The ultimate Phaser!

I was wondering if a phaser pedal with the options of 1/2/4/6 stages and 45/90/100/? degrees and controls for mix, resonance and time could be designed and built...

Check out the Hardwire Phaser. It doesn't offer every combination you mention, but it does have quite a few.

I had a Boss Phase 4 or 5 or something, and while the varied sounds available were intense and precise, I still only desired the MXR sound, whcih I could not dial in to my satisfaction. If you like creating a lot of space and noise, the Green Boss Phaser with all the staging and resonance options is really good, especially when you throw an Expression pedal in there. That was the one thing that kept me from selling it for so long, the expression pedal on a phase was fun as hell.

The Hardwire seems a bit fake to me. Without knowing the details of phasers' circuitry, I guess that Harwire's different modes are simulations and not actual 2-stage or 4 stage etc.. But maybe I'm completely wrong.

The VFE seems more convincing!

What I'm really after is the 3 MXRs (block 90, script 90, 45) in one pedal with true bypass or a good buffer (I had the block 90 and sold it because of the tone suck). Not really a tweaker, but I love all of the above phase sounds.
