JOYO Analog Delay VS JOYO Digital Delay
Allright people! Let the battle begin!
I couldn't find any comparisons between these two. I am in the market for a cheap delay, with a good performance/cost ratio. Now, these two thingies are super cheap, and I can get them from ebay (I am in Greece, and the effects market is limited) with no, or low, postage. Enough said. The contestants: A. JOYO Analog Delay B. JOYO Digital Delay Demos: A. JOYO Analog Delay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0BTL...eature=related B. JOYO Digital Delay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoXSjuoZbfg I actually cannot hear any difference between those two. I also suppose both of them are actually digital. Any views/comparisons/experience on these pedals? P.S. I also added a poll |

Links: The prices are just....wow! Are they too good to be true? I know we are not talking boutique, but I am not looking for boutique pedals. Just a cheap decent sounding delay. |

Joyo are really awesome. I've been using the Ultimate Drive for a while now and it just rock!!
Do you have any Mooer pedals there? or NUX? they are also kick ass Made In China pedal. Highly recommended!!

So, would you recommend Mooer or NUX over Joyo? I don't think there are any local importers, however I can get them off ebay. I am looking at som now, and the shipping cost is quite low. Nevertheless, keep in mind it's a delay I am looking for.

I have the Joyo Digital Delay and I think it's warmer than the Analog delay in your video selections. The blue and tan digital boxes have different paint jobs. They sound the same.

Hmmmm... Modelling... Do you know how much these cost? I cannot find one on ebay. I saw on the NUX website that there is, actually, a dealer in Greece and I intend to call them later to find out about prices. **UPDATE** I did call them. They don't import NUX effects, only amps... |

I have the Analog Delay and I am very happy with it. It does what I need it to do at a fraction of the price of every other Delay on the market. I have it set pretty low so it sounds like a little heavier reverb of sorts.

I think I am at odds with the overall view of the Joyo Digital delay. I received mine two days ago and it was not really what I was looking for. I was after a digital delay that sounded like a .... digital delay. It appears that Joyo have put some kind of low-pass filtering on the output of the JF-08 that just makes the output sound a little muddy. This is particularly noticable on longer repeat times. I wanted something more pristene.
I think the intention is to make it sound more analog but then, with another pseudo-analog pedal in the range (JF-33) why bother? Or put the filter on a switch and charge me the extra dollar that it cost to do so. Will probably sell. |
