Morley A/B/Y Pedal Is Fun, Fun Fun!
Well, I got me a Morley A B Y switch.
Bought it this morning, played it this afternoon, and I was stunned by how this thing opened up a new world for me. Playing through two amps a few feet apart...unreal sound. A wall of sound. Playing through one amp is for kids. Get a Morley A B Y and be a grown up! No kidding around, this thing is great. I am having fun playing two different amps at once. My warm Crate acoustic amp and my Roland Jazz Chorus. Wow, what a sound I created playing both at once. I did my two chorus amps (Roland Jazz and Fender Princeton) at once...my God, wall of swirly, psychedelic chorus. It was like I was tripping on mushrooms. (By the way with my new Morley pedal I was finally able to really A/B my Roland Jazz Chorus and Fender Princeton Chorus. They are the same exact chorus!) Can't wait to get my Vox and Fender amp going at the same time. I imagine that is going to sound insane. The Morley will allow me to do it. Fantastic pedal that I know is supposed to be just a boring practical pedal, but in reality it is a fun as hell pedal.

I was thinking of getting one for my AC15c1. I know it's only one amp, but I'm sure I could get some interesting combinations from the two channels. I'll do it sometime in the near/far future.
Enjoy your new sonic field! :-) |

Didn't know that. Well, linking the channels on my AC30 is actually a necessity on some guitars (Tele, Strat). The linking option does give you greater freedom to really create a tone you love. Nothing insanely dramatic, but the linking does fill out and give more body to my Top Boost tone. I would suggest an A/B/Y box for your AC15. You'll probably like it. |

Two amps are FUN! I like to use my Boss delay and go to my main amp and then use a smaller ss amp for the delayed sound placed a ways from the initial amp. Maybe I should put the main amp next to the monitor, facing me and the "delay amp" behind me lying flat on it's back. That'd give some ambient echo. Hummm...
Another fun trick is to to split the signal with a delay and then put a phase shifter on the delayed signal. That'll give you some psychedelic grooviness! I have a Boss Dimension C pedal that I really ought to use in stereo.

Or chain stereo effects together and use each stereo out for a different amp. Each amp would have a continually increasing layer of effects as you go on down the chain. Talk about sonic chaos!

That's rather creative and also hilarious. Each amp down the line has more effects than the one before it. Wow. And they say Hendrix was an innovator. He never pulled off this crazy trick. |
