Strymon pedals
Have had an el capistan since December and it's glorious. So organic sounding. You can dial in a decent amount of delay and it never seems to intrude or overpower the playing. Anyone have any comments about there other pedals.

I have El Capistan. Love it. Very nice quality and some fun features. Also wish to try Flint, but not now. One thing, that I do not like is powering of them. El Cap reqires 250mA (as any other DSP strymon, except TimeLine), when Boss RE-20 requires 75mA.

Per the OP..... On the Flint....if you think the El Cap is "glorious"....you can expect the same thing from the Flint. It's the first pedal trem that I think gets in the ballpark of a real bias driven amp trem. I've been using the harmonic trem mostly...very tasty with the depth turned down lower. I use amp reverb so the spring reverb isn't so interesting (it does nail it). I am enjoying messing with ambient stuff by cranking up the decay on the 80's reverb. What's cool is that unlike Line 6 M9 effects that did a similar thing, the Flint is actually musically usable instead of gimmicky. |

The other supplies possible is the CIOK 8 or 10. The problem I had is that there's just no room on my PT mini for a supply anymore. (see pic). |

I have the lex and I love it. Use it mostly for my organ though.

Hmmmmmm.....kinda mixed responses. One guy said it worked...another said it blew up all his pedals when the 1-spot failed. I don't know. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/arc.../t-814140.html |

I have El Capistan and power it along with 10 other pedals using the GigRig Generator. It is rated at 5000 milliamps and works like a charm. I love the Cap and am thinking of adding the Flint by Christmas. Just need to watch the demo videos about 2,000 more times...

I don't have any of the strymon pedals( would love to have a timeline!) but I can't understand why people think you can't power them with a pp2+. Maybe I am just not understanding something. The timeline needs 250mA of current, and you can get that with the pp2+. Yes, it might take two outputs to power it with a current doubling cable but it still works.
