Hardwire HT6 tuner pedal not working... did I get a bad one?

Hey all

I recently purchased a "Hardwire HT-6" hexaphonic tuner pedal.

Pretty cool concept, it displays all 6 strings so you can tune by strumming. It worked great for 2 days.

Now when I plug the cord in all it does is flash all the LED lights, and I hear a little crackle thru the amp when the lights flash. The 9v I put in it was fresh, and according to the manual I should get 10 hours of use out of it. Given that this pedal has only been on for a grand total of about 5 minutes and I always pulled the plugs out I wouldn't think it'd be a dead battery.

Anybody else have this problem with the Hardwire pedal?

I'm gonna take it back to the store today.
