EH Small Stone or MXR Script Phase 90
Finally getting around to replacing my non-scrpit phase 90. It's too harsh in my opinion. I'm looking for some Waylon-esque phase and it looks like the EH small stone and MXR script phase 90 are the top 2. The only reason i'm leaning towards the Small Stone is because it has a color switch which would give it more options than the Script Phase 90. Your thoughts?

I own both and use both. I've experimented a lot with both. Best Waylon sound in my opinion is the small stone at nine o'clock with the switch down (most subtle setting). Though the script sounds great too at 9 o'clock. Both are far closer than the block lettered phase 90... Which is much more aggressive in nature. So I keep the small stone at the above mentioned setting and keep the script 90 at 11 o'clock or so for more pronounced phasing.

Small Stone all the live long day
(and i dig MXR) Some of the old big boxes suffer from a volume drop issue. Not all of them, it depends,(EHX is notorious for quality control),but the new Nano seems to have corrected this problem. For the (phase) record, I use a big box Small Stone, and love it |

Thanks for the imput! I was leaning towards the Small Stone before, now y'all talked me into it. I read some reviews on MF and they said the Small Stone Nano doesn't have the volume drop problem. It's cheaper than the Script 90 too. Now to get one ordered!

My small stone may have a very small volume drop... But pretty minimal. On the other hand, my script 90 may have a slight volume increase. But I'm talking small degrees here. So I don't think you're going to go wrong with either.

I have the custom shop script phase 90. Its the script version with the addition of an led and power supply input. Any Dunlop distributor can order them. Love it!

Whirlwind Rochester Series Orange Box - script phase 90 sound with LED, true bypass and designed by a guy from the original MXR company. Nails the original Phase 90 sound, you won't be disappointed.
