For our anniversary, my enabler wife (thanks dear

) picked up 1 of the Alter Ego Delays from PGS. Like the TC Flashback, except 2 delays were replaced with a Benson Echorec and DMM models. I've been messing around with it for a few days and so far there are a lot of cool delays in 1 box. I haven't even started messing with the tone print feature yet, but I must say it looks great. There are a lot of them on their website and a few combine delay + effect or even turn it into a Chorus.

The DMM setting is great, my favorite so far and the Benson setting has a lot of eerie possibilities. The repeats have an odd modulation on them, almost like the tape is worn (I assume. Never played any of the old vintage delay units so that's a best guess). Looking forward to seeing what I can do with it when mixed with a LOT of spacious reverb.

My only gripe so far... no owners manual was included. However TC has it on their site, just have to replace the 2 removed delays with the 2 new ones. No biggie.

Spacial Goodness:

Output 1 into Amp 1 (Reverb in FX loop)
Output 2 into CS Script Phase 90 Reissue into Amp 2

Using the Echorec setting.

just saw Andy's demo, looks awesome. Are you still liking it these days or is it a one trick pony?

It's still on my board, although lately I've been using it as a looper. However I did put the tone print app on my phone so I'm about to start running through those when I get some free time, hopefully this weekend.

However, I still think it's a well made, great sounding (and versatile) pedal!

Mine arrived yesterday and I was fiddling with it last last night. IMHO the DMM setting is the best. The ER is OK, a teenie bit too much modulation. My only complaint so far is the white paint use for the controls. Virtually impossble to see under certain lighting conditions.
