New Wampler Pedal-Tweed 57 overdrive

Just wandered over to the Wampler site and I guess he has a new OD pedal called the Tweed 57. I heard a clip and it sounds pretty awesome just like all the rest of the Wampler pedals. Sweet.

Looks cool, I even think some time ago to change my Catalinbread Formula No5, but I do not like 3 band tonestack for some reason.

I was about to post a thread about this pedal. I loved my FN5, but it was stolen the other day. I want to replace it, so I was considering another FN5 or the Red Llama, but then I saw the Wampler 57. I may be leaning to the Wampler because it can be more versatile and would probably sound awesome with the tweed Bassman. On the other hand, I'm a simplistic person, so I typically don't like that many knobs on a pedal. Hoping to find some reviews on the Wampler.

Very nice sounding box! I can't stand having a bunch of od's on my board at once - it hurts my head. I love having a bunch at the house to play with though, and this one will probably find its way into the mix.

Pretty impressive demo. I like my Formula 5 - or at least, I did - but the extra controls and versatility of this seem like the bee's knees to me. Sounds like it can get just as ragged based on the last setting in the vid, and that's my favorite thing about the F5.

I'm an intermediate guitar player and new to pedals, and I really love the tweed sound, but theses Wampler pedals are out of my price range. Are there other tweed pedals out there that are more affordable, and which would be good for newbie like me?

For some reason I don't see this pedal on the Wampler website, but the YouTube demo is great.

from all the positive reviews of your pedals. sounds like they will increase in value like the tube screamer did before the economy fell through the roof. thats a compliment. so much to learn/build/buy. next month i should have almost all the tools to build my first guitar. then ill have to get my first tube amp, then play with pedals. this hobbie is fun. and thats what is most important.
keep up the good work sir.
chris.

This is a great review. Sounds better than a Formula 5 or a Les Lius with more eq options.

ME WANT!!! - birthday coming.... you never know
