Paisley Drive by Brian Wampler Pedals

Just picked up one of these for some dirt sounds. Been using a Cornish SS-3 but am really impressed with this little box. Wasn't really after Brad's sound but was curious because I'm a fan of Wampler pedals. This pedal can dial in a ton of sounds & the most versatile overdrive I've used. It is very transparent, which is a BIG must. Ive been looking for a more modern country sound that's coming out of Music City these days & this pedal really nails it. +1 for Wampler Pedals!!

Awesome pedal. Pedals come and go on my board, this one has been there since I got it and will be there for a long time. This is the standard I judge other overdrive pedals by.

Yeah, I've had one of these for a while, too. I do admire its smooth tone and versatility. I don't find it very transparent, though (each Mid Contour position colors the tone in a certain way). Also, I don't find it very touch sensitive. Still, very nice sounding.

Hey, I just noticed the Brad Paisley signature on it! When did they start that? Mine doesn't have it.

+1 on the Paisley Drive. One of the best overdrives around. I think the ones with the signature were part of a Special Limited Run to raise money for cancer. I know they did a special run of signed pink ones at some point as well.

One of the best ODs ever. Not sure when the sig started, I got one of the 1st or 2nd run PDs, no sig, sold it, over a year later got my 2nd PD (used), it had the sig.

The graphic was changed at the time of the charity auction, Oct/Nov 11 - regular model ships with the signature as well now.

I love my PD and typically use it w/ both switches in the up position, gain at noon, vol & tone to taste. It does color the tone a bit, but not much, and it's nice color.

I've been Jonesing for that one too, but I'm torn between the Paisley, Ecstasy and the Black 65. No way to audition them, so I'm trying to decide based on what I read and hear through sound bites. Decisions, decisions...

Brian really stands behind his pedals. If you are not happy you can send it back or trade it for another type. It's really a no-lose deal!!

The Paisley is my favorite single sized dirtbox. It's so versatile and I've been using it since it came out. It's just the perfect OD/Dist for me. It's friendly with all guitars and it loves my clean Fenders.

How does the Paisley Drive compare to the Timmy by Paul Cochrane? I imagine some of you pedal freaks have both!

Modern Saint you must get a Paisley Drive, you will not be disappointed. If you find you do not like let me know I'll buy it from ya! This Urban pedal was on Wamplers FB last fall.

It doesn't. Apples vs. oranges. The Timmy is a flatter EQ, and adds less color. The PD isn't based on a TS but is more in that vein... meaning it has a tone of it's own. The Timmy really doesn't. It's just "more" of what you already have. Also, the PD has more gain available, and more tonal options with the switches.

If you've ever played a Fulldrive, the Timmy is more like comp-cut mode, where the PD is more like the Vintage and FM modes.
