OD pedal wish list
If you could have any OD/dist/boost pedal(s), what would be your wish list. As much as we might like to have them all, try to keep it under 10. Here's my list, in no particular order:
Fulltone OCD (have it) Fulltone Plimsoul Hermida Zendrive Wampler Ecstasy Timmy Klon Centaur Nobles ODR Tubescreamer Xotic BB Preamp Rockbox Boiling Point OD I don't have any experience with any of them, except the OCD. The list is based strictly on what I've read, popularity, hype and, possibly, mystique. |

I just need one: Marshall Bluesbreaker 2.
It's impressive how this cheap and velvety pedal, widely available everywhere, is still a great unknown.

I have been checking ebay every day for the past 6 months for a Reverend Drivetrain II. Can't find one for the life of me.

This is not a real wish list so much as a "curious to try out someday" list:
A real TS-808 (just to compare with my TS clones/variations) Zendrive Fuzz Face type Tone Bender type fuzz

There's only one on my wishlist right now - the Holdsworth signature OD from Rockett - it has been ordered already, and will ship as soon as they'er ready to go out. I a/b'd my pedals with a lot of highly touted stuff today, and I realized I pretty much have what I want in the dirt department.

-Dano Coolcat OD Version 1 (Have it, main OD pedal)
-Aramat Effects Soul Patch Fuzz (Have it, tonebender clone) -Vox Tonebender (Would be cool to have the real thing!) -Fulltone OCD (Played through one a few times, would love to replace my dano with this) Used to use a Marshall BB-2 for my main OD, I think it's a little too midrangey for my tastes, but I still have it |

Only gripe is the knobs facing forward. What's up with that?! Was surprised when I got it that the case was metal, and so durable. The tru by-pass and blue LED make it a nice set up Glad I got it so early on so I was able to get the V1 |

^^ Funny, for the style of music I play (just not too hard rocking for me, most of the time) I prefer the Dano TOD V.1 to the Dano Drive- BUT that said, I actually think the Dano Drive is more dynamic and controllable with your guitar volume knob. The TOD gives me a nice breakup, but it stays there when I turn down, the Drive, got cleaner...
One way to get over the crappy knob/jack placement is to just try putting all the knobs at NOON and control everything from guitar! Kind of miss the pedal- but I sort of found that even though it has a great crunch and grind on initial attack, I found it short on sustain- so I switched to a Rat clone for getting more sustain for when I do play harder rocking stuff edit: once you get over the ergonomics (which I know for some is a huge issue) these Dano V.1's were great sounding values

Never thought of that, good idea I'll have to try it! I usually only use it for leads, I use a DRRI as well, so I use my BBE Boosta Grande for my usual dirt, stomp on the Dano for my leads! I always wanted to try a TOD, but I'm terrified of GAS, I already have too much stuff as it is!! |
