Has anyone ordered the new Joyo Analog Delay yet? I ordered one today and was just wondering how it sounds. WTFAccessories has everything in stock now. I wonder if is true analog delay or digital emulating analog. I will report back when it arrives!

My US Dream just arrived!
I've only had a chance to try it out for ten minutes but initial thoughts are positive. It's not as extreme as my Dano Cool Cat Metal v1 (I didn't think it would be) and gives a great modern rock distortion.

I won't get a chance to try it out again for a day or two but I'll let you know once I do.

My US Dream arrived last week, it responds differently with different pickups, which is good. It's not as high gain as the Ultimate Drive. So far I've been using it as a warm boost, which is probably the opposite use it was designed for, but again good that it can do it.
With the gain set very low, about 7 o'clock, it fattens up the sound of the guitar without adding any grit or overdrive fizz. I have been using a Green Screamer for this for a while but that pedal works mainly with single coils, with humbuckers the GS starts to break up even at minimum gain, the US Dream doesn't break up, it merely fattens up the tone. The Joyo Vintage OD also breaks up with humbuckers with the gain set to minimum btw, so the US Dream is very useful for my particular taste. So far I've tried the US Dream with a Duncan JB / 59 guitar, another with Manlius noise free P-90s, an EBMM Axis with MM90s and a Luke with EMGs. Sounds good on it's own, and with the Ultimate drive after it in the chain set with the drive at 9 o'clock they cover a wide range of tones. |

Interesting - this means that it probably uses the "2X LED" clipping diode setting that the Riot has. LED's will provide the least amount of diode clipping or distortion.
The UD is based off the OCD, which uses a pair of mosFET "body diodes" as clipping diodes, and they sound "a little less buzzy" than standard silicon types. I think I want a Shredmaster clone for cheap that is pre-assembled, so that would mean the Joyo high gain distortion (flaming skull and crossbones - yech). But a tweaked Shredmaster is kind of a cool thing, and not necessarily for playing metal, either.

For those of you who have already purchased the new style Joyos at around $30 consider yourself lucky. WTFAccessories has over doubled the price to $60/ pedal on the new Joyo line. I bought my Analog Delay last week for $29+shipping.

Ok, so those of you who say the US dream is kind of like the UD, but in the vein of gvnor/shredmaster/crunchbox: can you get similar results with the joyo UD and crunch together? Maybe use the crunch after the UD to give a new flavor? $60 for a USD seems extreme if similar can happen with 2 pedals.

I used my US Dream at band practice tonight. I had the gain at 1 o'clock and tone at 3 o'clock with my Blacktop Tele (which has had the pickups replaced with Warman humbucker-sized P90s). It had the right combination of grit and warmth for my taste and individual notes could be heard, even in complex chords (one of our songs ends with an A9...). I like it a lot.

Still waiting on somebody else to give their opinion on the sweet baby. I like it alot but its pretty weak on volume output. I've changed the 50k volume pot in mine to 1meg now to give it a boost. Also, not alot of variation in the focus pot,[probably less since changing the volume pot value] its a pretty subtle control. Sounds good though!
