Malekko Omicron Chorus: great classic sound, simple to use and doesn't take up barely any room on your pedal board.

Why not go with tremolo instead? (Since chorus is so lame. I mean seriously, even Keef couldn't make it cool)

I suppose I went for a "jack of all trades" (as opposed to great sounding analog tone) chorus versatility, and have used a Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble for many years.

I wanted one pedal (multi-tasking!) that could cover Chorus (which I really never use), as well as the "Fake Leslie"/organ tone (which I do use). Having a Mix control plus Bass/Treble cut filters plus usual Depth and Rate controls, IMO make this a great value.

Looks like the MXR Analog Chorus is the exact same pedal, but analog

Thanks for the input. I did go to pro guitar's site and you tube video's prior to asking. I will see what i can find locally to test drive.

When did Keef try? I know that he went through a Phase 100 period...

artdecade, tunes like "Just Waiting on A Friend" and others sound chorused to me, I could be wrong though.

I have the mxr, 1 knob chorus and find that while it has a good sound, its versitility is quite limited. Speed is the only adjustable parameter, but not being able to alter the depth makes this pedal a true one trick pony. Good, but not great.

Nicest sounding and most versatile chorus I've ever used is the Dano Cool Cat CC-1. At any price, it's the best I've come across...being relatively cheap ain't bad either!

My recommendation is to get a used DOD FX65 (or FX60). Very special sounding (and uses the famous BBD chip (MN3007).

I haven't tried the Joyo, but the clips do sound nice.

I never tried it but I'm curious about the Arion SCH-Z sold by allparts (uses somewhat less revered MN3005)

Tried a few. Recently bought the TC Electronics Corona. I think that one is here to stay. Beautiful sounding chorus, from very subtle to over the top. Very transparent sounding too.
Different animal than a Small Clone.

I've had great experiences with Boss CE-2 and Joyo Classic Chorus.

I'm lovin' the TC Electronic Corona. It does a beautiful full-on chorus sound but I especially like dialing the FX level down and just using it to add a thin layer of sweet frosting.

I have a rocktron tsunami. I wouldn't trade it for any other chorus.

I found the Joyo to be pretty shrill esp with gain. I just got one of the new MXR M234s (the 5 knob one for $100ish) and really like it. I have a Boss CE-2, and a DOD FX-65 as well and while great the MXR is more adjustable.

If you turn all of the knobs on the FX-65 off you get a really cool filtered flange sound ala late 70's early 80's Frank Zappa. It is a really lush chorus as well.

IMHO the mix is one of the most important criteria of choice for a chorus.

Got one of those myself. Great chorus but it got bumped by my Boss RT-20.

I also should shout out to the Digitech Hardwire CR-7. Heard amazing things about that pedal, and the rest of the Hardwire series is excellent (I have the high gain distortion and the reverb pedal, and they're great).
