After a decades long search, i've finally achieved the ultimate in great guitar tone.
Have purchased and re-sold so many pedals, too numerous to count. Tube Screamers, Blues Drivers, Zen Drives. The list goes on. I am done. My current pedal board line up sounds amazing. It consists of a TU Boss tuner, HBE compressor, Fultone GT-500 boost/overdrive, Xotic RC Booster, Xotic EP Booster and finally a Boss Digital Delay. I have a few Teles, my current fave is a maple neck Am. Standard loaded with Fralin Blues Specials. It all sounds amazing. Now the only reason to go to Guitar Center is to pick up an occasional set of strings.

It's a nice board...hope this feeling lasts. I thought I was there too many times to count...then I got itchy and busy fingers.

But where's the thrill of the hunt? I thought the whole point of a pedalboard was to justify finding the next last pedal you need?

I haven't scored in over a year. I still use, so I guess I haven't been totally clean. I can't get anybody to loan me any money, so I just keep using the same dirty pedals. It's okay, I roll back sometimes and clean them up. I hear there's some new stuff on the street.........My name is Lioncommandking and I am an addict!!!!!

Yeah, I didn't mention amps because I have a few. Hot Rod , a Deville, but my favorite go to amps are a stock Deluxe Reverb Re-Issue that I tend to use most of the time, (light weight and just right amount of power) and a Peavey Delta Blues 115. Because a Fender Telecaster sounds amazing through a 15" speaker.

To the OP...good for you!
I had that feeling once for about a year, and it was a busy year. I find whenever I'm too darn busy, and I'm gigging every weekend, I don't have time for GAS and whatever's on my board is exactly what I need (long as it can take a beating). But once I started really slowing down with the gigs, well, GAS set in. Whatever keeps the flame burning, so to speak. JMHO.

^^^ It's true- when you are gigging alot you shift from GAS or PAS thoughts, to "Which guitar has decent strings on it for tonight?" Love it when things get busy, and I just play, play, play.....

This may be a silly question, but what kind of actual pedalboard do you have it on? My old Gator board is falling to pieces and I never could make it look clean, always a big mangle of cables.

I have the Gator Board as well. I notice that it's getting a little frayed at the bottom corners from sliding it in and out of the bag, but so far, so good. To minimize the cable clutter I used black twisty ties on the power supply wires. Not much you can do with the connecting cables but to stuff them in there as best as you can. My real estate is totally filled, but I have no need for any additions. My Gator Board only cost about sixty bucks and some change, but I'm satisfied with it. You get what you pay for, as they say.

I think my pedalboard changes as time goes by and my tastes and interests change. But it is surprising how many pedals can fill out different roles depending on how you use them. i can use my hot cake as a clean boost or use it to add a bit of dirt with my DLS. i think once you have found the fundamental pedals you need you can have a break from buying and start playing. its always nice to have a new toy though.
