Recommend a Boost Pedal please

I just need something to kick up the volume a little during solos.

A boost goes at the beginning I presume?

Here's what I'm running.

Boss TU3 Tuner
Wampler Ego Compressor
Wampler Paisley Drive
Hardwire CR-7 Stereo Chorus
BBE Sonic Stomp
Wampler Faux Analog Echo
Wampler Faux Analog Echo
Hardwire RV-7 Stereo Reverb

Thanks

This comes up regularly and like clockwork, you'll get the usual list of suspects. Of course, my usual is the Boosta Grande.

Fatboost, Catalinbread Super Chili Picoso, and Pigtronix Class A Boost.

Depends on if you want something that is just for volume, driving an amp, or adding a gain boost.

If you're looking for a volume boost for solos, place the boost after your gain pedals (comp and overdrive in your case). Placing the boost before them in your chain will give your gain pedals more grit and sustain (which can be a good thing), but you won't get much of a volume bump.

As for which booster, there are many good ones to choose from. I have a few that I use, depending on my needs (and my mood, for that matter). They are:
-Xotic RC Boost
-Xotic EP Boost (nice option if you don't have much space left on your pedalboard...doesn't take up much room at all)
-Homemade double boost. (two Jack Orman mosfet boosters in one box...similar to a Zvex Super Duper)

Later...

Xotic EP Booster. Love it. The other Xotic suggestions are good to, but more expensive... Don't know anything about the Boosta Grande, but it appears to be very popular.

Meant to add that the Boss GE-7 makes for a mighty fine boost, with the bonus of giving you a ton of EQ options. I have both, but if I had to choose, I'd probably go with the GE-7 for the added versatility.

Not trying to turn this into post your favorite pedal thread but I'm going too because out of the everything I've tried I really just like a mxr 10 band with a flat eq and just bump the level a bit. doesn't change my tone and I place it after my od's before delay and reverb. Just makes me louder doesn't push the pedals this way. didn't like it in front of the od's. But im curious about this grande?

+1 the class a boost is great but the ge7 is better and has a volume slider

Was using an mxr micro amp that was good, I now use a Suhr Iso Boost which is amazing.

It's a clean boost, right? For the price difference, what makes the Suhr that much better than the MXR...just curious.

Basically any pedal labeled boost will get you there.. it's just a matter how much are you willing to shell out.

I'm personally using a Visual Sound True Tone Clean Boost after all my effects (last in my chain). It just makes everything loud and clear... the tone knob really works a lot as well if you need to darken up your leads in soloing. VS Support is also top notch,.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
:)

What he said, but with an EQ stompbox- (GE-7 or equivalent) sometimes I pull a little (3-6db or so) of the very top and very bottom out. Usually boost the level overall by 2 notches on the volume slider (roughly 10db). Effective, and won't cost you first-born son.

If it really is just a boost in volume do what I did - make a simple 'unboost' pedal with a simple volume pot. You just switch it on when you don't want the boost and off to take the pot out of the circuit when you need the boost. Costs about ten bucks to make and works like a dream.

Thanks for all the great advice everyone. The Boosta Grande name got thrown around so many times I think I'll give it a try.
