NPD: TC Electronic Hall of Fame reverb
I got a TC Electronic Hall of Fame reverb recently. It is a very good pedal, recommended to anyone looking for a reverb. The tone is good, the price is right. There are many reverb types available, they are distinct enough. The Toneprint thing is not a gimmick, it rather works quite well.
The tone knob really comes in handy! I find the Spring, Plate, Hall, Church, Lofi the most useable. Although the spring is not very springy... The Mod type is to modulated to be useful to me, but they have a fantastic modulated reverb toneprint which works really nice for any ambient / spacey / synthy sounds. Don't buy this one for spring emulation. It works enough for me still, surf players won't like it though. Buy it for the good price, good overall tone, the tone knob, kill dry switch, buffer/true bypass switch, switchable predelay, solid construction. Thumbs up |

Yes, great pedal. My only complaint with this pedal is that the reverb type selection knob is a bit vague. I'm sure TC could have fitted a knob that feels more positive.
I've never experienced this much control over reverb before and it really is quite amazing when you start experimenting. Enjoy! |

Just got one myself. Haven't had more than an hour or so free to really check it out yet, but so far I'm digging it. I agree the spring isn't the end-all be-all of spring emulations, but so far, I haven't found one that really quite nails the real thing anywhere. The HoF's spring isn't bad, though, and I agree that for the price and all-around utility factor, so far it seems like a real winner.
Maybe a little experimentation with my own stuff (aside from a 15-minute, make-sure-it-works test with my Baja and a toy Marshall MS-4, the hour I've spent with it was with my bro's 69TLRI and his ancient, crusty Univox U-45) will prove it to be even more impressive. That said, yeah...I really, really like it so far. |

I just got one of these last Friday and have only been able to play with it for about an hour, but agree that it is very versatile, but the selector knob could stand to "click" a little more. I'm very happy with my purchase and can't wait to experiment with it some more!
