lower cost options of Strymon and JHS delays

I love the El Capistan and Panther but they are out of my price range. I love the lush modulated delays I see in the demos. Are there cheaper delays out there that can do this and also slapback and Edge delay? I am looking at $150 and less for a delay. I like the TC Electronic Flash back and the EHX DMB, just wonder if there are more out there I am missing.

Behringer makes a Memory Man clone called the Vintage Time Machine. But that doesn't have tap tempo. The Nova repeater has tap and the modulation is supposed to be really nice.

You can probably get a used Stereo Memory Man w/ Hazarai for about $150.

A used DD-20 is hard to beat...4 presets, and you can usually pick one up for around $150 used. It's a workhorse.

TC Flashback (has tape mode and analog mode), Echo Park (has tape mode and analog mode AND the amount of modulation is controllable, like the DMM.)

Personally, I had an Echo Park right beside a DMM, and as for the quality of the modulated delay sounds, the EP is every bit as good. The DMM does have a cool preamp in it that does something cool to the tone & feel, tho...

Personally, if you don't want to spend the bucks on the El Capistan, I think you'd be pretty happy with the Flashback or Echo Park, for half the price.
